FUTURIST MANIFESTO - TYPOGRAPHY | BOOK BINDING

The Futurist Manifesto of Men’s Clothing was written in 1914 by Giacomo Balla; an Italian painter, art teacher and poet best known as a key proponent of Futurism.

What I have created is a reflection of the manifesto in every way, shape, and form. The interchanging, abstract, angular pages represent futurist artwork and the projected ideas of how men’s clothing ‘should’ have been looking in 1914. The type weight and size is used to convey the meanings of the many elaborate word choices and connotations. And the colours used were also prominent in futurist artwork, at the same time as working together beautifully in a publication.
